I was having with issue citrix receiver dual monitor issues while connecting remotely to a pc . Citrix receiver was detecting multiple monitors as one. It was not detecting multiple monitors. I found a fix for it while playing with Citrix receiver settings. It worked for me so I am sharing this to see if it works for other users who are facing similar issues.
At first, upgrade your Citrix Receiver to the latest version by downloading and installing it from https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows/
Current version of citrix receiver is.:
- The Citrix WDDM driver requests a 64MB allocation for the video memory buffer at boot time, but for a 4K resolution display 64MB is not sufficient.
- Citrix Workspace App Earlier Versions of Workspace app for Windows Subscribe to RSS notifications of new downloads. Workspace app for Windows. Citrix Workspace app 2102 for Windows. Citrix Workspace app 2012.1 for Windows. Citrix Workspace app 2012 for Windows.
- Note: While there are no controls in place to limit resolutions above 4K in Windows 10 VDAs, Citrix development testing is limited to 4K monitors currently. High-DPI (dots per inch) Current support for High DPI endpoints is based entirely on the Citrix Receiver or Workspace App capabilities for a given platform.
Right-click on citrix receiver or citrix workspace icon. Then click citrix receiver advance preference.
The problem lies more in the Citrix Workspace (Former receiver) client rather than in eOS per se. Chances are that the server policies are defaulting at a maximum graphic memory that won't allow you to go past than 4k Resolution at 32bit color (about 32MBytes of graphic memory per session) and even though some might support 64MB per session. Enter your Citrix credentials. (Citrix.com, My Citrix, or Citrix Cloud) Remember me.
You will see Advance preference window:
Now click on High DPI. Now select No, use the native resolution. Save the preference and restart your remote session.
Log Into Citrix Workspace
That should fix citrix receiver detecting dual monitor as one issue. I hope it helps.
Hey there,
Citrix Workspace Homepage
I am runnning the Citrix Workspace client version 20.02.0.5 (2002) on macOS Catalina 10.15.4 with two LG 27' 4K displays (3840x2160).
As soon as I expand the Citrix desktop over both displays, the performance gets worse, all inputs start to lag, sometimes showing the spinning ball.
As long as the Citrix client is limited to one of the displays, everythings works fine.
Also it is no problem to work in a Windows 10 bootcamp with both displays on the same Citrix server.

Citrix Workspace 4k Download
So there has to be a problem with the macOS Citrix client.
Thanks for your support.
